Proud Daddy!!!

I was so proud for my daughter Krista to be named the 2009 Homecoming Queen for Hudson High School!!! I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful girl as my daughter. She is everything and so much more than I could have ever hoped or dreamed for in a child. She is so incredible!!! All of her life I have watched the way that she handles and carries herself. She always has time for everyone. After the crowning Friday night, I watched her and just admired her grace as she had time for everyone. She isn't haughty about her beauty or talents, she just pays attention to all of the things around her and makes everyone feel special. From the littlest of children to the oldest of adults, Krista communicates and shows her love to everyone and lets them feel how important they are to her. Saturday, at the little dribblers games, I watched so many kids just run up to her and just hug her and so how excited they were and Krista just loved on everyone of them like they were family. She has made her mother and I so proud with all of her accomplishments and efforts. Truly, the sky is the limit for Krista, because she has set her heart and affections on the Lord!! God is rewarding her openly!! Also, this past week she became the 2009 D.A.R. Award recipient. This award is chosen by the teachers and given to someone with outstanding community and leadership qualities. She has given her all to so many things in high school and God is rewarding her for her efforts!!

We must all strive to make this world a better place together!! Krista has made this world a brighter place for so many people with her love and dedication. I'm thankful that I know her as her Father!!!

Center of HIS Will

We must stay in the center of God's Will for our lives!! The center is the target area in sport shooting. We are aiming to be in the perfect will of God. A bullseye in archery is a perfect shot. While we may not always be perfect, we must always strive for perfection!! We were created to walk in HIS power to change the streets like Peter did. His will for your life is to operate in His power and see His glory. We have been experiencing His Glory for the past couple of weeks in the church in a magnificent way!! At our celebration service last night we had a completely jam-packed, super excited group of teenagers and adults ready to celebrate the fast and the things God has done for us to start the year!! Is. 38:18 says "The dead cannot celebrate the Lord." We are not dead so lets make sure that we are celebrating the Lord everyday!!! Many spoke of the visions and dreams the Lord has been giving and how they were encouraged to extend the fast to the 40 day point!! There were incredible testimonies from adults and teenagers talking about how God was mending families, changing hearts and touching our lives through the fast!! We are seeing a move of God and it is just incredible. I want to encourage you to really look to the Lord and let Him direct your fast and heart in everything you do!! The center of God's will for your life is to stay close and stay clean!! Stay close to God and stay away from sin!! A day of change

Today was a very historic day for change. I urge you to pray for our new president Barak Obama. We must pray for him everyday to operate in wisdom and knowledge directed by God. Job said this "All my days I have waited until my change come." Change has come to America, and change is coming to the church. God is pouring out His spirit in the church and we must remain spiritually ready to receive all the Lord has for us!! We all need some sort of change, and God is bringing that unto us in 2009. Change your life by continuing to fast and pray!! Pray for the eyes of your understanding to be opened to see the things the Lord wants you to see!! Change for God today on this very historic day of change. Many things changed, new president, new VP, new cabinet, New parties in control of the house and senate. Today let the Lord change you and bless you!!

Pressing On!!

Well, we are pressing on!! I had an amazing response today to the email that I sent out concerning continuing the fast!! So many said that they were already thinking about continuing even before I wrote the email!! It is so amazing what the Lord is doing. I have been writing the emails and letting everyone know what is going on and God just continues to do more. The word for tonight is we are "Pressing On" toward the prize of the HIGH Calling of God in Christ Jesus!! Paul said forget those things behind and press on!! Pressing on means that things are going to stick, disrupt, and augment things in the kingdom!! We are in a PRESS for our families, church, city, state and nation. We must PRESS ON and breakdown the barriers and walls that have stood between us and our destiny's. There is a plan that is going to be revealed to you through dreams and visions, signs and wonders!! Pray: God reveal your destiny to me in 09'. Keep your door open and see the blessings.....PRESS ON with the deep spiritual things in your life and in the kingdom for you!!

What An Amazing Week!! Over 100 people have been filled with the Holy Ghost in services this week!! Man just think about that for a moment, WOW!! Our fasting is really shaking up the kingdom!! God has been moving so powerfully in the church and upon the lives of people that it is truly amazing. I'm really feeling that we should continue the fast!! A 40 day fast breaks down barriers and destroys strongholds. I'm going to be asking those who will to continue the fast until the 40 day mark. In the continuation of the fast I'm going to ask for us to pray for Lufkin. The first 21 days was for ourselves, our families and church. The next 19 days I'm asking that we pray for breakthrough in our city!! I'm ready to see supernatural revival in Lufkin!! The continuation will also break strongholds in your personal life. Strongholds are the things that the enemy continues to hold over your destiny. I believe that you are going to be blessed to an unimaginable proportion for the continuation of the fast. Just today I was saddened by the passing of a dear friend (Sis. Linda's Mother). But, in her passing some of the last words that she said were directed toward me. She said twice that we needed to fast and pray for Lufkin, that the Lord told her that He would give Lufkin to us, because of our fast. She later said that God would give us Lufkin, but everybody had to cooperate. So, I have prayed about this tonight and feel the Lord is directing us to continue the fast. This was some of the last words from a woman that was so weak that she could barely be heard as a whisper, but this was so important for her to deliver. She said that the Lord had directed her to tell it to Linda to pass it on to me!! God used this dying woman to deliver a message to the church. Hear the word of the Lord and help me to pull down the strongholds in Lukin and in your life!!

Unexpected!!

Wow!!! Wed. night at New Life was completely unexpected!! I have wrote to you previously that this was a year to "Expect the Unexpected!!!" This is one of the words the Lord gave me for 2009. This week I have been very unsettled about what to preach/teach on wed. night. Before service Sis. Cheryl had shared a prophecy that had been written some time ago about the release of ungodliness on America this year. Then the prophecy began to explain how the Lord was going to raise up a people full of His power to combat the evil forces that would be trying to invade. Sunday, I preached about an open door in heaven and that the Lord had prepared us all to be filled with the power. It's the last thing he told those on the Mt. of Olives to go and tarry until they be endued with power!! Sunday the Lord powerfully touched those in attendance!! Filling many in the alters seeking such a spiritual baptism. It was incredible to say the least.
Well, tonight the Lord did something unexpected!! He gave us one of those suddenly experiences!! We had talked before service that we were sensing the Lord wanted to do something, and man did He ever!! During worship Sonia spoke about the message I had shared on Sunday and her experience in receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Then Cheryl shared the prophecy and the kids began to worship. After several minutes the Lord directed me to share a few things, because I didn't think the kids quite understood. After explaining a little, I just instructed them in the word and how to be filled!! God then showed up and showed out!! In the alter there were probably over 100 people. Mostly young people that were there seeking the Holy Ghost!! God began to fill them and they began to speak out and it was just absolutely incredible to see the sovereign move of God in the service tonight!! It was just so beautiful I can't really even explain it. Adults, Teen-agers and children getting filled!! Please understand this wasn't an emotional rush, these kids were really being touched by the Lord, and they weren't embarrassed to show it!!! There were about 20 adults that got filled and probably at least 50-60 teenagers that were filled as well. It was an unexpected service, but the Lord knew what we needed!! God is getting us ready for 2009!! Continue the fast and stay strong!! It was prophesied when Azusa Street ended that in 100 years the Lord would revisit America. The end of 2009 and beginning of 2010 is that time that the prophecy would be in effect!! I'm calling it forth for my life!! You do the same and lets continue to "Expect the Unexpected!!"

Change??

We are in the midst of changes in our world, country, state and city. In the spiritual realm there are many things happening as well. We are living in a changing world during a changing time and we must stay solid and strong in the Lord and our spiritual walk with Him!! We must stay very spiritual in uncertain times. You must pray and intercede for those around you and ask the Lord to direct your path; even when you don't understand everything that you see. We must be people that are not motivated by fear. When we operate in fear we must unjust decisions and decision not based upon the Word of God. In fear, people make terrible mistakes that they wish they could take back. When people are fearful then they make irrational decisions and mistakes. The word says, "He didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind." Perfect is the mind of the man who's mind is stayed upon the Lord!! Read Phil. 4:6 to completely understand this point. Think on things that are honest, lovely, things that have virtue.... Don't operate in fear, stay close to God through so many changes that are going on around you!!

Creating a New You

While you fast, you are recreating yourself both spiritually and physically. Fasting is drawing you closer to the Lord in your spirit and your flesh is ridding itself of many toxins. You are greatly benefiting from the Fast so stay strong and be encouraged today!! This year is so important!! 2008 was a year of new beginnings and 2009 is the beginning of your Destiny. Continue to fast and pray for the Lord to continue to reveal your destiny!!! The Door of Your Destiny is Open NOW!! The first mention of a door is found in Gen. 4:7 where sin was at the door. Cain opened the door to sin and killed his brother. The last mention of a door is found in Rev. 4:1 where John was told by Jesus that a door in heaven was opened. That door remains open for your blessings!! Reach into the door and pull down the blessings that you need: Physical, Spiritual, and Financial needs!! Don't open the door of Sin!! Keep it closed and pull down those blessings in your behalf from a open heaven!! One day that door will close, Luke: 13 gives us a teaching on God closing the door and not opening it again!! Get to the door before its closed!!!

An Open Door

Behold, I set before you an open door (Rev. 3:8) God opened the door of Heaven for you and no man can shut it!! What is in heaven that has been opened up to you?? There are so many blessings waiting for you to grab them with prayer!! That's right, the door is open and when you pray you are reaching into heaven and grabbing that which you desire from Him!! What types of blessings are waiting for you to grab them?? The door is open and if your not getting what you would like to receive, then I would say to you its probably your problem. There is nobody that can attain your blessings for you. The Lord has opened the door and invited you to receive your blessings by just asking. You can't receive what you do not ask for. Mt. 7:7 "Ask and you shall receive!!!" The door is open so just ask!! How is your fast going??

Know who Jesus is!
Know who You are!
So, therefore: Keep your passion, and
Spread your passion

When you know who Jesus is you will know who you are!! When you know who you are then your passion needs to inspire you, and when you are inspired you will share and spread your passion to others!!!

Close and Clean

Today has been a GREAT Day!! I pray your staying strong on your fast and seeking the Lord daily. Remember read Is. 58 today and let the word strengthen you!! I hope you are enjoying this blog, because it is really blessing me to write and reflect on how the Lord is dealing with me and speaking to me daily!!! God is opening a door in heaven for His blessings to flow out and touch your life. So, I implore you open the door of your heart and let the Lord in and let Him touch you afresh and anew and renew your spirit. Ps. 51 says: "Create a Clean Heart in Me O' God, and renew a right spirit within me!!" Today God is opening the door and blessing you!! You just must learn to walk through it and ask him to CLEAN your heart. I have a saying that I speak to the church quite often: "Stay Close and Stay Clean!!" Stay close to God, the church and me. Then keep your self pure before the Lord and therefore you will be clean!! God cannot use what is not close to Him or clean!! If you want to be used by God Stay Close to Him and remain Clean!!

choices??

Life always presents so many choices doesn't it?? What I mean is when we are faced with opportunities to make decisions then sometimes there appears to be so many different options. We always look to the circumstances and we are often pulled to the choice that makes us feel right or good. Most of the time whatever makes us feel right is the way we choose to go and follow. Tonight, I wanted to write about this for you. Sometimes we are presented with 2 or 3 possibilities and we then make the choice as I stated earlier. Then again, sometimes the best choice is the one that has not yet been presented. God always has a plan, but doesn't always reveal all of the choices for you. God is placing into some of our lives the opportunities to become very successful and blessed. But, He hasn't revealed to you just how this is going to happen. You must trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, but in all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path (Prov. 3:3-4) and make this happen for you!!! Sometimes the greatest choice has not presented itself yet, so look unto the Lord and ask Him for the answers and ask him to reveal all of the choices. Trust in Him and make the right choices NOW!!!

Whats Next??

You are either a Prisoner of the Past or a Pioneer of the Future!! We have made one week into 2009 and I hope that you are praying and fasting and receiving revelation and insight into the spiritual things that the Lord is doing in 2009!! Its very important to let 2008 go and the years that preceded and begin to mold your future in the Lord NOW!! Don't be a prisoner to the past anymore!! Begin to see the future and all the possibilities that it has for you!! 2009 is going to be a pioneer year for you in the natural and spiritual world!! Begin some new things this year, try some things that you have never done!! If your going to be different in 2009 then you need to start doing some different things now to bring change to our new year. Consider spiritual things!! Pray, Fast, Seek God's Face, Become a Soul Winner, Do the Work of the Kingdom, Make a Difference. These are just a few spiritual things. Try some new Physical things: Walk, Make some new friends, catch a movie, go to the park, spend more time with your children (grandchildren), go to sporting events!! There are some many things that we can do to "Get Connected" with people. Connect to God and People!! Join a Small Group!! Whatever you do this year: "Become a Pioneer for the Future!!!"

Why do we Fast??

Why do we Fast??  We are fasting to receive insight and revelation for the things of God and His word in our lives!!  We are fasting to receive a revelation from God!!  Today, pray God reveal to me your plan for 2009!!  Some are going to make decisions that will destroy them and separate them from the call in which they have in God.  Still, others that were not expecting much in God this year have made a commitment and God is going to explode on them with "Unexpected Things!!"  I'm praying for a renewed anointing on all of us!!  A renewed passion for the word, for pray and for fellowship!!  You need intimacy with the Lord and you will only find that when you deny yourself!!  Fasting is denying a need for the food in which we partake of daily. The word says: "Let a man deny himself, take up the cross and follow me..." ARE YOU FOLLOWING?? I was at Olive Garden today and the waitress asked about the food I was eating and why I didn't want the bread.  I told her that I was fasting, No Meat, Sweets or Bread and she was astonished and asked for how many days was I going to do this??  She didn't know what to think of it??  She didn't quite understand.  You need to understand one thing:  If you have been feeling stagnant and unresolved, then I think it is time for you to get really serious about a real hunger for the Lord.  In decision making look to Jesus:  Heb, 12:2 says "Looking unto Jesus!!"  Are you looking to Jesus and asking Him to really bless your decisions and your  FUTURE??  I'm so exciting about the people that are growing and coming to the Lord daily at New Life!!

Results of Fasting

What an incredible response to our Prayer and Fasting to "Link Up with the Lord so He can LAUNCH US". I’m really excited about all God is going to do in and through our church and all of His people around the country that have linked up with us in this fast. I was just thinking about how powerful fasting is. I heard it said once that fasting as it relates to prayer is the “spiritual atomic bomb” that the Lord has given us against the enemy. Every time I fast personally or I go on an extended fast with my leadership or church…

I sense the presence of the Lord powerful. I feel the fire of God in my heart.
Powerful truths and revelations of God’s Word seem jump off the pages of the Bible at me.
I hear God’s voice much more clearly.
I am refreshed, re-energized and full of faith.
I receive supernatural guidance for my life, leadership and for the church.
I sense the favor of God in a powerful way and that I am aligned with God’s purpose and will for my life.
I have confidence that we have received God’s vision and direction for the church that year.
I experience joy and peace big time.
I see all kinds of supernatural breakthroughs and miracles in the church.
My mind and body feel fantastic after fasting. My health is in peak form.

After I fast, I look back and think “what if I wouldn’t have fasted…” I would have missed God on so many things – and so many things would be a lot more difficult and complicated this year. Thank you Jesus for this incredible, powerful weapon of fasting!

Scripture for today: Psalm 85:4-6, “Restore us again, O God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us. Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” (NIV)

Sunday Day 4!!

What a Great Day!! We had an incredible service and the Lord blessed!! I encourage you to read Is. 58 everyday of the fast. It will encourage and inspire you with the blessings and insight that it will bring to you. The first service of 2009!! The closed door of 2008 and the open door of 2009.

I shared in the service today on what I believed the Lord is saying to the church for 2009!! Expect the Unexpected: Pray, Plan and Produce!! You will either be a Pioneer of the Future or a Slave to the Past in 2009. I want to set the course and help those around me reach and fulfill their destiny. "Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord," but God spared all of his family. What if you are the link that brings perpetual blessings to your family. Are there loved ones in your family that need salvation?? Maybe, you are the key to unlocking their future in the Lord. Don't give up on them, keep your faith strong and continue to intercede for them. You could be opening the door to their destiny right now!! We have another chance to start over this year. Let what has happened go and get ready now for the future!!

2009 the year of Destiny!!

We are on the 4th day of the fast and I'm encouraged in my spirit to stay strong!! Your body will adjust, your flesh will try and convince you to quit, but stay strong and don't give in. Your flesh will say: I don't have any energy, I have a terrible headache, I'm SOOOO hungry....Don't fall into the trap of your flesh. Remember, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Don't give into your thoughts stay focused on the Lord and see this FAST through!!

Looking to God

Daniel 9:3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

I set my face unto to the Lord!! When we fast we are setting our faces to the Lord!! WOW!! Don't you know that if your purpose is from the heart then the Lord is looking down on you while you are setting your face upon him!! That is true intimacy with the Lord. We cannot see HIM face to face in the natural, but in the spirit when we pray we have an ability to look toward HIM face to face!! Face to face is intimacy. Face to face is where problems are resolved, issues corrected, and indifference's solved!! God is going to bring some of you face to face with the personal issues of your life while doing this fast. Be very obedient and listen to His voice and do what He tells you to do. What joy and happiness that is being birthed in our FAST unto the Lord!!

Heb. 12:1-2 tells us that we can look unto Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith!! Look to Him, Look to Him, He is looking at you. This is an incredible time and great opportunity for you to get reacclimated and adjusted unto the Lords will and direction. God bless you for your commitment and resolve for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Turning to the Lord

“Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. This is the time to turn to the Lord!! We turn our hearts to the Lord with our commitment and sacrifice unto him!! Day 2 is a day where the fast can be a little challenging, but stick it out it will get easier. Pray today and ask the Lord for His strength and willpower to be obedient unto His will for your life and for his direction for you. Destiny awaits you!!! What will you do to get yourself in position to achieve it?? Give devotion to pray and sharing with others your experiences today and everyday of the fast. Together we will make a difference!!

Fasting brings Humility!!

Day 1: Daniel Fast!!

Well here we are, A New Beginning with a New Fast!!! The days ahead will be filled with many new things for you. 2009 is a year of expecting the unexpected!! Is. 58:6 tells us that this is the fast in which God has chosen. In the Fast God will loose the bands of wickedness, destroy heavy burdens, let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke!! Fasting draws you closer to the Lord. So lets draw closer to the Lord with our prayers and fasting today and for the next 20!! Psalms 35:13 tells us that we "humble our soul with fasting." Be humbled and lifted up spiritually for the cause of the kingdom and for your life in 2009!! Stay strong and Fast for the Will of God to be done in your life and for the kingdom. God remove wickedness, destroy burdens, release the oppressed and break the yoke of bondage upon our families, churches and nation!!!
